Does the player number match the channel to which it's connected?

Red Ring Not working properly
I have a pair of CDJ 3000s and DJM900NXS2 all connected via Ethernet Switch. The red ring should come on to indicate the main channel that is playing. However it only comes on the right deck when the deck isn't playing. Firmware is up to date on all 3 devices
