I replaced an XDJ-RX2 with top equipment and this doesn't work anymore

The new PRO DJ Lighting feature is not working as expected.

Scenario:
- I have AUTO DECK SELECTION mode enabled
- Track #1 is playing (ON AIR), the lighting deck selection is #1 -> CORRECT
- I start Track #2 in my headphone and the lighting deck selection is still #1 -> CORRECT
- I start to bring in Track #2 and they both become ON AIR. As soon as Track #2 becomes ON AIR, the lighting deck selection auto switches to channel #2 -> WRONG

This is not the expected behavior.
The expected behavior is just like with the XDJ-RX2. The lighting deck selection won't switch UNTIL the volume fader of one track is slightly lower than the other. This is the expected behavior and that's the one that makes sense.

Please fix this, I bought 2 CDJ-3000, the RB-DMX1 and the DJM-900NXS2 just for this (replacing my XDJ-RX2) and like this it's unusable.

Please!

Hey Adrian,

The XDJ-RX2 is sending the fader position data to rekordbox, allowing it to keep the control as you indicate, but the DJM-900NXS2 works as an external mixer and thus relies on the on-air status to manipulate the deck selection for lighting. Your best bet would be to change the lighting preference to MANUAL instead of AUTO, then map a keyboard shortcut or other control to change the lighting selection.

Hi Pulse,

Thank you for the reply.

First of all, I understand the XDJ-RX2 is sending the fader position data to rekordbox but are you with me on the fact that with top equipment you expect to have more features instead of losing them?

Why is the DJM-900NXS2 not able to send the fader position via the Pro DJ Link Lighting feature as well? I think this is what everyone expects with the add of the new Pro DJ Link Lighting feature into rekordbox (meaning we don't need to use the performance mode).

If only rekordbox would wait to switch the deck selection until the fader position is lower than the other, then everything would be perfect. Do you agree on this?

I strongly believe no one would use the current Pro DJ Link Lighting feature with the AUTO mode as of now.

Waiting for an answer from Pioneer DJ support since almost a week. I spent 7000$ on top equipment and this is the treatment I get. If no one will answer, I'll happily return this equipment, because this is now how treat your customers.

Screenshot from the CDJ-3000 product page. How can Pioneer say that if the auto deck selection doesn't even work the way it should?
