If you change the file name, you will have to relocate each track one at a time. The AutoRelocate function wants to find the original file name. I have not done this much so I would suggest trying it on a few tracks before mass modifications. It should work but I don't have any experience with it.
I always make sure my track information is set before importing into RB. I use a program called TagScanner to set the filename to a standard Artist - Track Title format. You can also do mass changes for columns like Genre and Artist. I find this program easier to use than trying to change the track file properties. The Rename function is a great time saver.
