64 -bit Rekordbox Download Issue

Hi

Trying to download Rekordbox for he first time and keep getting the following message:-

64-bit version of rekordbox cannot be installed to your computer

I have tried on a couple of laptops but no joy. Also tried downloading older version 5 to see if this worked but had the same message.

Can anyone please help?

Thanks in advance.

Rekordbox requires a 64 bit version of the operating system. If you are using Windows, right click on the "My Computer" or "This PC" and select properties. Look to see what the operating system is defined.

What version of operating system are you running? You could do an upgrade or a complete rebuild of the laptop. If you are in the Atlanta, GA area I can help you out.

Installed memory (RAM) = 4GB (3GB usable)
System Type - 32 Bit Operating system
Windows 7 Ultimate.

Based in UK, but thanks for offer of assistance DJ Joel 👍🏻.

Looking at the upgrade link above (thanks Pioneer DJ for response) it looks like this upgrade is for the IT savvy ones amongst us, which may be a bit beyond my IT capabilities unfortunately.

You can do the Windows 10 upgrade online from the http://Microsoft.com website. Unfortunately, the free upgrade is no longer available. W10 Home is ok but I recommend the Pro version. Make sure you get the 64-bit version when doing the upgrade. If you are not comfortable with the process, I am sure you can find a local that can help you. It's not complicated. I would recommend a full backup to an external drive before attempting the upgrade for security.
