It takes time to load the hot cues to buffer, so that's perfectly normal. Which model XDJ are you using? It's much faster on each subsequent model (XDJ-XZ > RX2 > RX).

XDJ LOADS SONGS WITH HOT CUES MORE SLOWLY.
Hello all. I experience a 5 second (literally, 5 second, I timed it) delay when loading tracks to a deck, using a USB stick.
I went through 2 USB's thinking I had purchased a slow drive before realizing the problem was not with the drive (I have a Samsung Bar Plus which has a 300 mb/s read sped).
It wasn't until I was loading a few tracks with NO HOT CUES that I realize this delay only occurs when Hot Cues exist on a track.
IS THERE ANY SOLUTION TO THIS? Can someone confirm this is the case?
I have my entire library tagged with Hot Cues and always use them to call up my next track. I usually miss the first 16 bar phrase I'm shooting for cueing on because my track has loaded too slowly.

Hi, thank you for your response. I'm using the XDJ-RX2. Is it possible to tell me just how much faster this would be on the XZ? This may be a legitimate cause for upgrade. Thank you.

I have the same issue with XDJ-XZ and it has firmware version 1.23
