DJM S11 Not Recalling BANK Settings in Standalone mode

Firmware 1.02, DJM S11

No Laptop connected

Set up your FX settings on hardware
Save to a BANK
Restart Mixer
Toggle to a BANK you know you have something set in
All the settings is lost and mixer has gone back to Default settings

I may be mistaken but i assumed that the mixer will remember its FX settings or whats the point of being able to save to a bank on the units itself if it wont recall.

When the mixer is connected to a laptop it remembers the settings and using the S11 Utility Settings, it will recall the BANKS.

But not everyone plays with a laptop.

Official comment

The official answer is that this mixer is primarily going to be used with a computer, so it's easy to update the settings. For those situations where the mixer is installed in a venue used by multiple DJs (hopefully that will return soon!), having the mixer return to the defaults between DJs so they know what to expect instead of encountering weird customizations, was preferable.

1. Is there any technical limitations on ability to recall FX Banks for users like me who are not sharing equipment and also for most gigs are the sole DJ playing? Lack of battery or memory flash storage ? This will be helpful as then I won’t bother starting a feature request for that if it’s not possible.

I'm not sure about the limitations as we know other settings are written to the flash memory (eg. any of the crossfader preferences), so it was more likely a design decision.

Been a while since we've had an S11 firmware update. 2k ain't cheap and that's a while. I use this unit stand-alone most of the time and having to set everything up for every event is pretty frustrating. Auto BPM also seems to have a split personality. Sometimes it works but most often it does not. Not to change the subject here though. Any word on when the S11 will remember our saved bank settings? I will end this by saying the S11 is my absolute favorite mixer ever. But little things are big things sometimes. : ) Thank you!

Even if it only recalls the last used BANK settings it will be nice.

Its the flagship battle mixer & there are no alternative products to consider.

Its almost a perfect mixer minus this omission.
