According to the article from 12 march 2020 "Registered users can download the latest version of TRAKTOR (version 3.3.0) for free to use USB-HID control with the XDJ-1000MK2/XDJ-700.
However I can only access a demo or "limited edition" of traktor (version 3.4.0) and it wont detect my xdj700s in usb-hid mode. And yes I have the latest firmware. What am I doing wrong. What does "registered users" mean?

I think that means if you own Traktor 3, you can download the updated version of 3.3 (or newer) which supports those XDJ models for HID interfacing. If you're using another version of Traktor, it would likely not support those controllers.
