The DDJ-SX will work with rekordbox 5 or 6.
With rekordbox 6, it would require the purchase of a subscription plan, or to have an of the compatible hardware unlock devices connected while you use the SX (for example, a DDJ-SP1), would give you access to those functions without a subscription.
rekordbox 5 has been discontinued, although you may be able to purchase a license key from someone to unlock it.
