Rekordbox/ DDJ 400 problems on macbook pro 2015 macos big sur / catalina

Hi, after trying to solve the problem for past 2 months, going through every post on the forum and changing settings in rekorbox and system software I am frustrated and hopeless. Since I bought DDJ 400 I’ve been experiencing problems with audio glitching and DDJ 400 FREEZING after 1minute of playing (sometimes it was 30 minutes) but currently its unusable. At first I thought that its an issue with a device but it seems to work perfect with different laptops than mine. Then i read about lack of compatibility between macOS Big Sur and rekordbox so i was patiently waiting for an update.. In the end i decided to downgrade my system to macOS catalina which was listed as supported system for rekordbox. It took me a lot of time and effort and the final result is that the problem still appears. The device is freezing while rekordbox is still running but no audio is coming out. The solution is to unplug and plug again the device- then the audio output (often but not always) changes itself to built in which is extremaly annoying. Also bpms of two matched songs are going off each other. I tried everything - Time machine switched off, wifi off, spotlight search off, audio settings correct, midi panel correct, manipulating with sample rate doesn’t do much. I tried the latest version of rekordbox as well as rekordbox 5 and its the same. Could anyone help me with this problem? I am hopeless at this point.

Hey Krzysztof,

Do you possibly have the DDJ-400 set as a default audio device for the system and notification sounds? If that's enabled, rekordbox can't assign it as the output device.

No, the DDJ-400 is set as an audio output device while built in laptop speakers are set to all the notifications. I tried to use an aggregate audio device as an output (set in the audio preferences and in rekordbox preferences as well) but no luck. DDJ-400 freezes after couple minutes of mixing, no audio, cue and play buttons are working. Sometimes audio is glitching. I don't have any of these problems while playing any audio from laptop itself / through speakers / speakers are not a problem for sure.

Have you tried troubleshooting with a different USB cable or even testing on another computer to determine if it's the system?

Yes, I have 2 usb ports and in both problem occurs. It can't be a cable failure because the same DDJ-400 connected to a different laptop (with the same cable) seems to work great. In my opinion there is a problem in the computer software/ rekordbox software maybe something with soundcard? The same DDJ-400 device runs smoothly with other computers but not with mine. I see the problem is more likely to occure when pressing shift and scrolling through the track/ activating pad FX via shift key an also when beatmatching/ playing with tempo slider and also playing with EQs very fast, but besides that audio is glitching every10-15 seconds regardless of my actions and eventualy this glitch stops audio output and freezes the device while music is still "playing" in the rekorbox and i can stop/ start it by pressing on play/pause/cue buttons. The solution is to unplug and plug the device ( sometimes i have to do it every 5minutes but sometimes every 1 minute- for some reason in the past( 3 months ago) i managed to play max 38min without this issue). I increased buffer size a little bit to get rid of the glitch but it barely changed anything. I also tried to install rekordbox 5 but the same problem occurs in that version. All the actions such as resetting SMC, NVRAM and PRAM didn't help. This is Macbook so there are no additional drivers I should have- the only update that is showing is updating to macos big sur which is not compatibile with rekordbox.
