Glad to hear the love for rekordbox!
We do have a similar device; the Interface2. It works almost exactly the same way, but that said, the SL3 should certainly work even with rekordbox 6 in free mode...
Hello. I'm very happy that I switched to RB, and I have an unusual question. Before switching to Rekordbox, I played on Serato, ever since Scratch Live hit the market. I am the only DJ I know, who has been playing at hundreds of weddings and clubs on Serato in internal mode, controlling tracks and sampler with just the keys on a laptop. All I needed to play was a laptop, SL3 box, and an analog DJ mixer. Now I love using XDJ-XZ, but sometimes I work in situations where there is limited space, and XDJ-XZ will not fit. In this case I would go back to Serato, SL3 box and small analog mixer. The problem is, I love RB so much that I don't ever want to use Serato again. I already set up shortcuts in RB, and if space is limited, would like to play on RB through a sound card on a small mixer like I did before with Serato. I tried to play RB through my SL3 box, and it worked for only about 10 min, but then sound disappeared. Any idea why? Does pioneer sell their own sound card like SL3 or SL4, which will work more reliably?

Thanks for your reply. What is a free mode? Will SL3 work in RB6 Performance Mode?
By default, rekordbox is free - and if you are only using a mouse and keyboard, you can use performance mode to play and mix. The SL3 should work although I haven't tested it in free mode myself, but it used to work so I don't see why it wouldn't.
