In other words: is it possible to map ”deck select” to the DDJ-400 and control 4 decks with an external mixer?
Hi,
I have used this year long break to drastically change my sound, a lot of fun to start fresh again when the clubs open. But I realize I will have to do a few test runs before playing out with a completely new library. Im also migrating from cue points to hot cues for more creative control so yes, after 20 years as a DJ I need to practice!
Instead of investing money I dont have in a new 3-deck setup, that I would use only to get to know my tracks better, I was thinking of using Rekordob in performance mode with my external mixer. This means that any controller only needs to be bare bones, a few pads for hot cues and the ability to nudge.
Can the DDJ-400 be mapped to control deck 3 & 4? Can you set it up so that holding ”shift” makes the pads and wheel control the other deck? That would be a pretty well priced solution to get up to speed with my new tracks.
