Cloud Sync Metadata

Hi,

If I use the clud sync option and back my library up to dropbox will the information such as hot cues and cue points still get stored to my laptops hard drive.

At the moment I edit tracks and this obviously gets stored to my laptop.

If I was to use cloud sync and edit from my laptop or mobile device when I sync will this be stored to both my laptop and dropbox.

I am hoping it does get stored to my laptop too for two reasons:

1 - my interent goes down and I cant access files and metadata via dropbox

2 - I dont get on with it and want to revert to just using my laptop and get rid of dropbox

Any help appriciated.

Thanks

Matt

Hey Matt,

Yes, the hotcue/grid info (RB database) is stored separately from the music tracks.

If I was to use cloud sync and edit from my laptop or mobile device when I sync will this be stored to both my laptop and dropbox.

Changes will immediate sync if the devices are connect to internet and sync is emabled

my interent goes down and I cant access files and metadata via dropbox

The tracks need to be synced to your computer. So click upload to cloud in RB and have dropbox open. On the other PC have dropbox open as well  and it will sync the track to the designated folder.

I dont get on with it and want to revert to just using my laptop and get rid of dropbox

The songs will still be on the original computer.
Your music doesn't get moved to the cloud. I gets moved or copied to a folder which will sync with the cloud.
