Download RB ver. 6.1.1 ?

Hi there,

I had a major system crash on the weekend and actually try to get Rekordbox back running on a newly set up Windows 10 system including new hard drive. I still have all the files from the old hard drive available (e.g. the whole MASTER folder and all MP3s), but !no! Rekordbox backup file.

What I would like to try is to install the RB version I used on the crashed system (which was 6.1.1 as far as I remember) on the new system and then overwrite the MASTER folder with the old one from the crashed system. In parallel, all MP3s will be put in the same place as on the crashed system. Hopefully that works?!

Question 1) is there any possibility to download ver. 6.1.1 from Pioneer? Only found links to old 5.x versions

Question 2) does anyone have a better idea or way to get my Rekordbox back to what it was before the crash (with all my playlists, cue points, etc. available)?

Hey Sebastian,

There was a security issue found with rekordbox versions prior to 6.2, so they have been removed from the archive. rekordbox 5 did not have this hole, so those versions remain available. You can install 6.2 and use it the same as any other 6.x version.

Provided you have access to the old drive and the contents of the Pioneer folder are available, if you put them into the same path for the new computer / drive (this requires the username to be identical on both old and new), it will work just fine.
