2/4 Deck views with DDJ-1000 + XP2 (RB6)

I have both a DDJ-1000 and an XP2 for DVS on decks 3/4. If I start up in 4 deck view and connect  my devices in a certain order, decks 1/2 will default to the DDJ-1000, and decks 3/4 to the XP2. However, if I switch to 2 deck view, often deck 3/4 are shown in the 2 deck view when I want to see decks 1/2 instead. 

How does rekordbox6 decide which decks are assigned to the 2 deck view and is there a way to change this if I want?

I want to lock the 2 deck view to decks 1/2 on the DDJ, but be able to periodically toggle to 4 deck view to show 3/4.
