Device Corrupted after upgrading to 6.4 - tried reformatting USB

Hi,

I recently updated from RB6.2 to RB6.4. Previously everything was working fine.

My set up is that I have all my music stored on an external HDD (D:), my RB database stores itself in the C: and I'm trying to export to a USB.

When i try to sync i get 'Device library is corrupted. To create a new library...'

I have reformatted the USB (ExFat) as well as trying another USB, which I also reformatted so the USBs are completely clean (and relatively new).

When it says 'Device library', I'm not sure whether it refers to the USB, or the RB database stored on the C:. I can't imagine the USB is corrupted given that I've reformatted + tried 2 USBs. However, when i go into 'Devices' and click on the USB (F:), it says that it's formatted with an unsupported file system and that I can only use FAT12-32. It's a 64GB USB therefore the only option is to format in ExFat, which has always been fine in previous versions of RB.

So I'm wondering, is the database in C: corrupted or is the USB unusable in the ExFat format? I can't imagine its the latter or noone could use USBs >32GB.

Whichever is the case, how would I go about fixing it?

Thanks!

Jake

USBs intended for use with CDJs have to be formatted in FAT32. USBs larger than 32GB need to be formatted with an external format tool such as GuiFormat. ExFat format is not supported.

When you startup RB, does your collection information come up? If so, your database appears to be ok. It sounds like when using Sync Manager to build an external USB is where your issue is. Reformat as FAT32 and you should be ok.
