I have had my DDJ-S1 for almost a decade now, never used the adapter. However last weekend I was playing outside and noticed that the brightness was really low. Does the brightness increase if you use the adapter instead of just the usb connection?
Also if it does improve brightness I have to buy a new one.. as I'm pretty sure I threw it away a few years ago because I didn't know it belonged to the DDJ-S1. So in that case I'd like to know where I can buy the exact same adapter.

Hi Matthias,
Yes - the S1 is one of our rare units that can function on bus-power and DC power. If you use the DC adapter you get brighter LEDs but also the XLR output is enabled with that power source.
Replacements are available here if you're in the USA, but it may be cheaper to find a 3rd party supply as 2 parts are needed; the DC adapter, and the plug.
