DDJ-400 PC Master Out to Bluetooth Speaker Failure

My issue is that when I have my macbook connected to my bluetooth speaker and I go to click the button in the top right that switches it to output to the computers output, it just resets back to outputting through my ddj 400.

So a step by step:

  1. I have my macbook set up to use my bluetooth speaker for audio output
  2. I have my ddj 400 connected to my macbook so that I can use rekordbox
  3. I click the PC Master Output button in the top right of rekordbox
  4. It seems to want to switch to output audio to my bluetooth speaker but then fails and resets back to outputting the audio to my ddj 400

I also tried this without connecting to my bluetooth speaker so it would just output the audio to my macbook speakers and this worked fine. The failure seemed to occur when it tried to output the audio to the bluetooth speaker.

Hey Mason,

Unfortunately we do not recommend using a Bluetooth speaker when DJing as there are audio latencies introduced which cause a delay when trying to beatmatch to the headphones. We recognize that there are some issues when using the PC MASTER OUTPUT for bluetooth speakers but as this is not an intended use-case, we are unable to provide troubleshooting to resolve those issues. Thanks for your understanding.

I appreciate the reply! I do not know how the audio system is set up but it seems like the headphone output should not be affected by the master output. There are a lot of places where I would use larger bluetooth speakers, even if there was a delay in the master output.

Maybe there is something I am missing but it seems like a logical feature to have.
