hi i have a ddj200 but i cannot get it working on my acer aspire 5 I5

when i unplug the controllers cable from the pc's usb port it does recognise that its there... but whilst connected it does nothing other than flash the lights of all the components, been looking everywhere for a fix and its driving me crazy
