DDJ SRT 1000 master channel not working

I went through a round of emails with Pioneer tech support about this issue that went nowhere and eventually they just stopped responding.

So can anyone here help? The master channel on my DDJ SRT 1000 stopped working months ago, that is the master knob doesn't control volume, there is no signal in the master cue. I'm only able to get a signal in the master channel though the booth out channel.

I see some similar topics on here that seem to be OS/driver related. Does this sound to anyone here like a software issue or a physical malfunction of the unit? It behaves the same way if I don't have a computer connected and am just using the inputs like for turntables etc.

Thanks

Hey Emerson,

I'm sorry our CRM team didn't respond to you on that ticket.

I looked at the ticket and watched the video - it seems to be a hardware issue in that the master level only changes when the booth knob is adjusted.

Please contact a Pioneer DJ authorized service centre in your region to have your hardware inspected and/or repaired.

Thanks for your quick response! I guess I should have posted here first.

Should I assume that if the controller was purchased from the GC website in 2019 with no additional protection plan that I am out of warranty and will be paying out of pocket to send to one of the shops on that list? I live in Massachusetts and it looks like the nearest one is in NYC.

Thanks
