DDJ 1000 Hot Cue troubles

Hi there, I've noticed when trying to store a hot cue on certain tracks, sometimes when I try and store it by pressing, for example, hot cue A, it simultaneously stores the same point to a further hot cue button (often Hot cue C)?! Why is it doing this?! Strangely, it doesn't always do it - it seems to help if the track is paused before trying to store the cue point. If the track is playing, generally it will save the same point to multiple buttons. I know I can't simply delete the unnecessary one, but it's just annoying, so I wondered whether there was some setting in 'Preferences' that I am unaware of?! Many thanks for any help.
