Wego 4 Android

Hi there, I've inherited a Wego 4 with all the original cables. It works fine with iPad. However I have 2 Android devices and I can't get either to recognise the controller. The manual states I need the USB cable that came with the Wego and USB Host Mode cable to then connect to my android device.. I believe they mean an OTG cable. I've purchased this https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07GKZS6KL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_4XN2Y7ASEG7NZCMZMDXC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 and it functions fine as a USB converter cable - it recognises keyboards and HDs etc.. however when I plug in the Wego 4 I get nothing. I've tried using the WeDJ app and the DJay app. I have a SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB A 2019 and a Google Pixel 4. Both experience the same issue of not recognising the Wego. Can someone please help?

I just used a regular USB-C to USB-B cable and connected it to my WeGO4 with a Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 running Android 10. It recognized the device, asked if I wanted to load WeDJ, and it worked no problem. djay didn't want to play ball, but I didn't pursue it further just for troubleshooting.

ah brilliant thank you for the reply... got myself 2 different cable and they both work in recognising the device and loads up WeDJ app.

However, with both cables (and both devices i use) I'm finding there is a delay / latency / lag when I'm cueing / playing tracks.

It's almost half a beat and makes mixing completely impossible, or at least very frustrating. I thought it may have something to do with quantize but i have this switched off (I've also tried with on and the same issue occurs).

there's no other settings in the app i can change to sort this out

any ideas  please ?

Check that you don't have any audio processing enabled on the Android device; I know some hardware supports Dolby enhancements which can cause issues. Try turning them off if you have them on your system.
