DDJ-SX2 Faulty Knobs

First of all I have a problem with the mixing knobs. Although I have them at the default position the software (Traktor) tells me different. Faders also gitter up and down a little bit whenever I move them too fast.

Also, the headphone level seems to not correspond to the knob position either. Whenever I try to adjust the volume, it flicks up and down a little and doesn't sound smooth at all. At lower volumes it works better but sometimes it cuts out completely. Maybe it is connected to the above issue?

Lastly, I cannot install the Firmware that is currently on the website. It just states that the controller is not connected when I try to run the java executable.

Any ideas? The rest of the mixer seems perfectly fine. The usb input is a bit loose on the mixer so it could be a connection issue? My guess is that it has to do with the firmware but maybe if the computer isn't recognizing the controller properly it could be that?

That sounds like you haven't applied the last firmware:

Ver.1.06 (30 November, 2015 Update)
FIXED - Multiple Channel Faders worked incorrectly when used at the same time.

Please ensure you've put the SX2 into firmware update mode before running the updater:

Turn on the power of DDJ-SX2 while pressing the [SHIFT] button and the [SYNC] button on the LEFT deck, and ensure the Level meter LEDs flash before releasing your finger from the these buttons.

If you still have issues, please try another USB cable or port on your computer (failing that; another computer).
