Linking CDJ 3000 to XDJ-XZ

Hopefully somebody can help me before I lose my mind!! I have a XDJ XZ and have recently bought a CDJ 3000 as an add on. But I can't seem to get the 2 devices to recognise each other when connected with the ethernet cable for use with USB's Thank you in advance for any help, it's probably something simple, but I'm out of ideas!?!
