Migration of NI Traktor Pro 3 collection into Rekordbox

Hi Rekordbox experts!

I have been using Traktor for more than 15 years and want to migrate now to rekordbox. I am using XDJ 1000 MK2 and DJM 900 NXS2 and fall in love with the Rekordbox LAN network connection between PC and devices. The Traktor USB connection spider web set up with 3 or more devices was always a nightmare.

My question:

I am wondering if there is a way to upload my traktor collection (mainly the crates and playlists) into Rekordbox. I tried the conversion software Rekord Buddy, but it does not work with Rekordbox above version 6. An error occurs while importing the xml file. The official support of Rekord Buddy has stopped (October 2020), so I do not expect any update or fix on Rekord Buddy.

To export Traktor playlists as m3u files to reimport them in Recordbox is no option, because I lose all the cues and loops.   It will take me weeks to rebuild my sets.

Any Idea how to get the Traktor collection in Rekordbox without losing all my sets?

Best regards

Claus aka DJ PUK

Hey Claus, I'm a Traktor user myself, and because I needed Rekordbox compatibility, I developed the DJ Conversion Utility (DJCU).

DJCU is macOS only, here is the tutorial, and some other info you might want to check out.

DJCU is compatible with Rekordbox 6, but you need to be aware of the Rekordbox XML import bug, it's not a show stopper, just annoying.

Thank you for you quick reply! This is exactly what I need, but unfortunately I am using PC / Windows instead of Mac.

Check out Rekordcloud and if I'm correct there is another third party application out there.
