No audio from Headphones on DDJ-SR

Hey Pioneer Team!

I'm trying to play music just through my headphones by using the CUE button but no audio is coming through the headphones, and it continues to come through my laptop speakers. (I tried multiple headphones). Was wondering if you could help troubleshoot!
 
Here's info about my controller, software, etc:
  • DDJ-SR
  • Mac OS Big Sur 11.3
  • Firmware updated to 1.08
  • Serato Pro
I'm wondering if it's a hardware issue or if there's just something I need to set up in Serato. I've checked the knobs on my controller as well. The HEADPHONES LEVEL knob on the front side is turned to 12'oclock, I've tried with the HEADPHONES MIX knob in the center of the board turned all the way to CUE and at 12'oclock, the TRIM is all the way up, the CUE button is lit up but still all audio comes through my laptop speakers.
 
Any help is appreciated!

Hi Sierra,

As no drivers are required for the DDJ-SR, I would suspect that you have somehow configured the SR as your audio device for the operating system. Please check that your default outputs are set for your laptop speakers instead.

The audio is configured to come through my laptop speakers, both in Serato and on my computer's preferences.

Could it have something to do with the fact that "Monitoring" seems to be disabled? I can't edit this function

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by "The audio is configured to come through my laptop speakers, both in Serato and on my computer's preferences." Where did you configure the audio in Serato?

See below that checkbox "...as well as your connected DJ hardware."

Are you getting any signal showing in the channel meters on the SR?

Yes, the light bounces up and down in response to the audio (see right side of the board)
