Export failure and no log

Hi,

I have music collection og around 1500 tracks which I recently have been going through manually to at 8 hotcue's and 8 memory cue's since I have changed my style of mixing in the whole.

I have done this to around 1/3 of all the tracks so far so there is a lot more work to be done, but this weekend when I was heading out to play problems started when I wanted to sync everything to my usb stick.

Sync Manager kept saying Export error...... and didn't present me with a log file like it normally does sometimes, so I ended up unticking 3 playlist out of my 20 lists to get it to sync probably. I also ran into issues when I tested it on my XDJ-RX2, a few of the tracks was no longer analyzed and some where missing the waveform.

No back home after the weekend I have hooked it up to my computer again to try and sort out what has happened... I did manage to get alle the tracks/playlists synched again by making new playlists of the troubled once and then copying the tracks from the old playlist 20 at the time to locate the troubled tracks. Every second time I would copy 20 tracks I would get the same error but were able to fix it by deleting the last track from the list and then adding it by it self.

I have now added all tracks/playlist again but some of the tracks are still missing the waveform and things still seem corrupted ind some way...

So have anyone experienced something similar and does anyone have a clue of what is going on here?!

Also when a track is loaded on a deck it takes some time to loaded, while it maps the hotcue's on the pads is this normal, this being my first time working with hotcue's and memory in this scale I have no idea if this is normal...

Thanks!

SoMad

So here's the question... what is the commonality of the songs which would not sync over the first time? File format? Path length? A non-standard character in the filename or metadata?

There is no obvious pattern to my eyes but I found that the tracks missing the waveform is where the part of the problem lays and if I delete them from the collection everything works... Here is a few screenshots of how it looks, top pictures just shows how the preview waveform all of a sudden goes missing and the bottom pictures show another scenario where the waveform is there but the bars are missing...

I'll try to look for a pattern of which files, metadata and so on that triggers it.

Another question: After I have added 8 hotcues and 8 memory cues to each number it takes like 5 seconds to load a track on one of the decks on my XDJ-RX2, is this normal?

So there are some songs missing their waveforms (or analysis data)? Did you move them or migrate computers? That could certainly explain why they weren't exported.

As for the load times, yes - more hotcues to load = more audio to buffer to memory = slightly slower, and it's perfectly normal.
