I recently spilled quite a large volume of liquid on my laptop whilst rekordbox was open. I realised that every single one of my playlists had been deleted. I have found the datafile.backup files but they are from 8 months ago so the back up would still be missing a lot of work that I've done. There are these files called masterPlaylists6.xml and automixPlaylists6.xml which are much more recent. Considering I still have all my music and it's just the playlists that are missing, is there a way to restore them from one of these recent files?

I'm going to suggest that they won't provide what you're looking for based on my testing of opening the masterPlaylists6.xml file on my computer and finding it was created in rekordbox 6.4.2, but I'm currently running 6.5.1 and have made changes to the playlists since that version.
You should actually be looking for master.backupX.db files instead; those would have the full database including playlists.
