Official comment
That cable says it has a "built in DAC chip" which I think may be the problem. Try a regular USB-C to USB-B cable and see if that performs as expected.

DDJ-WeGO-4 and Samsung S21 Android
I now have a WeGO-4 that I plan to use with my Samsung S21 Android device.
I purchased this USB C-USB 2.0 B OTG cable, and all features, EXCEPT audio, is working. There is no audio through the headphones or master. I've confirmed my S21 is USB Host compatible, and audio works just fine when I use just my USB-C headphones that came with my device. But the second I connect to the controller, nothing (with different headphones).
I've tried using the WeDJ app and the DJay app, same result. Any ideas?

I greatly appreciate your follow-up. I went ahead and ordered a new cable which seems more basic, so that I can try again tomorrow. Also, before ordering, I went ahead and turned of Dolby Atmos on my phone. I will be sure to post the results for others.

New OTG cable arrived and we now have sound through the speakers. But no headphone sound (3.5mm), even with all dials up. I am using WeDj, any ideas?
