During the online NAMM '21 it was mentioned the algorithm wasn't working as they hoped. And would be getting some tweaking.
Era, Mood and Association cannot be 'Customised' or even viewed so you can see 'exactly' what Track Data the algorithm is using.
So why can we not customise these and what Data are each using?
Example 'Era'
This states Tracks with close year of release, so if there are no other Points the algorithm is looking at other than 'Year' in the files Metadata i could create this exact same 'Track Suggestion' as an Intellegent Playlist yes?
If i don't add Year to the ID3 Tag but instead add it in 'Comments' Tag this tracks would not be used under this 'Era' Track Suggestions, Yes?
What i am trying to get at is there some 'EXTRA' secret sauce under the Hood in Rekordbox which the algorithm is using to create these 'Track Suggestion' playlists?
'Association'
This states sharing traits such as Artist and Label.
I use the Label Tag outside of Rekordbbox for my Ratings because Rekordbox Star Ratings are not written to Files only stored/used specifically inside of Rekordbox, so i use a Tag field which can be viewed in Multiple applications making my Ratings Universal.
However, if the 'Association' Track Suggestions uses 'Label' as one of the terms to populate its Playlist kinda makes 'Association' useless to me as the Track playing which it is using could be Rated(by me in Label) as 3 Stars and if will assume all other 3 Stars in the Label Tag are from the same Label?
Am i getting this correct?
Just looking for options and workarounds, again that does not have me going down the whole 'retagging Thousands of files in a different column' ect?
Could i create the 'equivalent' search with Intelligent Playlist just not using Label or is their again some other 'locked away' criteria the Rekordbox algorithm is using. And if so why lock it away, let us use it for our own Intelligent Playlists ect?
Bit of a long winded on i know xD
