losing headphone sound on flx6

I'm using an flx6  and recently got a new laptop so now using Big Sur and rekordbox both up to date latest versions. using Butt to broadcast using booth out phone to USB audio interface which worked fine on old mac. just mixing is fine but now when the interface is added to broadcast i lose headphone volume well they go really quiet to nothing and both F pads flash which aren't used as cue points which is odd.. Do I need sunflower or the Big Sur equivalent? please any help would be brilliant.

Hello, i understood what you mean exactly. I have FLX6 also and got same problem 2 times. I was using some kind of connector to extend USB cable and when i unplug it and use it with default USB cable only, there were no any problem. This is a BUS powered device so it may cause some problems if there are another USB connected devices which take power from your computer.

So i'm suggesting use the default cable only with no any additional cables or connectors.

Hi fella, yeah that would make sense I’ll try it with flx6 with adaptor on its own straight into usd/c ( the joy of Macs) so that’s powered direct and run everything off separate converter ... fingers crossed .. thanks for sharing that .. Happy mixing Bro 👊🏽✊🏽

You may also consider getting a "Y" adapter like this:

You plug the red one into a power brick and the black one into the computer. This gives you a better assurance your controller receives the correct amount of power it requires.

@ pioneer Dj Hi sorry what power brick ( or power bank) do you mean please or are you suggesting I buy a power bank ( which is cool just trying to work it out please suggest one ) Also where does the mini usb go?? I’m using a Mac with 2 USB C ports.. the laptop was plugged into the mains when this issue happened . It’s becuase the controller was plugged into a usb hub so wasn’t getting enough power it’s seems was the issue i e now put an adaptor / converter on usb to usb c straight to laptop and everything else on the hub and is working with out the drop of headphone volume .. Hope that’s clear and not a ramble .. many thanks for the response and look forward to the reply .. Benji
