If you're using the DJM for your audio output, it shouldn't matter what levels are indicated on the DDJ.

Hey,
I tried using my DDJ-400 with my CDJ-1000/DJM-750 MK2 setup for Rekordbox DVS, just as a way to easily load tracks onto each deck. The audio is clipping when I use the DDJ this way (the channel levels on the DDJ are hitting the red). Adjusting the master and trim on the controller doesn't change anything either.
I'm curious as to what's actually happening here and if there's a fix? Is the output signal now going through both the DDJ-400 as well as the mixer, causing the distortion?
Cheers
