DJM900NXS2 Audio Routing

Hey folks,

I'm trying to figure out why my DJM900NXS2 (latest firmware and drivers) isn't routing audio properly. Connected over USB to a 64-bit Windows 10 laptop, I'm trying to route the audio signal to apps like Discord and Twitch. My computer detects two audio devices - a Line In and an ASIO hardware input. No audio comes in over the Line In, and only a handful of softwares pick up the ASIO hardware.

1) What am I doing wrong that's causing my Line In to not have an audio signal

OR

2) How do I set up internal audio routing from the DJM's ASIO device to a WDM or MME device? I've tried VoiceMeeter Banana, ASIO4ALL, ASIOLink, Virtual Audio Cable, and none of them seem to detect the DJM's ASIO device.

As you said yourself, only some software will support ASIO - and really, the only reason there's a WDM (or MME) device listed at all is because of how Windows picks it up - it's not a Pioneer DJ driver.

If you want to use applications that don't have ASIO support for recording, try using Voicemeeter, and create a virtual output your software will understand.

Running into the same issue....same mixer/Win 10 64bit tower PC. ALL updated. I set up the utility routing for Rec Out and any software wont detect audio signal, though  it detects the mixer soundcard.

I am trying to record straight from the USB to the computer, instead of the RCA cables....heard it can be done.

...backing up this thread. Hopefully we can solve this soon.

Yea I noticed this.  I had a DJM-2000nexus and via USB it used to appear in Windows audio playback devices as "DJM2000 Speakers".

Having just switched to a DJM-900NXS2, there is no longer a "Speakers" device listed, only the "Line In" (and ASIO in certain apps, rekordbox for example).

Is this by design?

I know you can record via rekordbox now, and that works as it should, but I like to use the mixer as a Windows sound device to play output from the laptop itself, not only recording mixes.

Thanks for the info, Pulse.  Will assume it's by design - Voicemeeter helps me achieve what my DJM-2000 drivers used to achieve.

The DJM-2000 only had one input pair as its own interface, so it was possible that way.

@Saman > If that's the case, you've not done something right - what is the hardware / software you're looking to bridge?

@Pulse i have made a thread in the same section here. If you would please check that one out I have put all the information and the problem itself as well with some videos of how the setup is currently situated. Thanks.
