I disagree that CD is over. True, they're not as popular any more but still used by many.
I still play CDs and sometimes I'd much rather not look at a computer screen to find music as it can become a minefield.
As CDs are physical, I can sift through my collection as I know where about they are, just like when I had vinyl records.
This way I can set aside my next CD to play and keep my focus on mixing rather than searching my Mac and previewing tracks.
