It's not exactly the comments field, but then you could use another tag editor to write it there.

Write "My tag" to "Comments"
Since 5.0 the preference setting for writing the "my tag" selections to the "comments" field in the MP3 tag has disappeared. Please bring it back :-)

But more generally - imo all 'my tags' should be exportable to / importable from file metadata... and unless that is in RB (pontially Rekordbuddy might be able to overcome this shortcoming / intended walled-garden approach to lock in users by Pioneer which I am not happy with and will not use as a DJ software as long as that is the case with no way out), as well as adding support for multi-value metadata & custom metadata/tags, only then would I consider paying money for RB DJ to use it and run it as my main DVS through my DJM-850...

The option is there in 5.3.0 en 5.4.0. Might have even been there in 5.2.x
