Pioneer ddj-sx2 jog wheel issue

Literally just bought the pioneer ddj-sx2 yesterday. Right out of the box the jog wheel in vinyl mode Sputters in place when I have my hand on it to begin a scratch. I'll hold it in place just as if I was holding a vinyl record from playing and the song sputters back and forth. I've adjusted the latency buffer on serato dj. Checked all connections and sensitivity to max. Still no solution. Nothing works
