why Stanton??

Why bother listening all night to someone who doesn't want to put even the slightest effort to the rudimental dj skills....?

Playing dnb for years and using the rekordbox heavily to analyze and prepare my tracks and I need to do any adjustments very rarly.

Instead of spending 10 minutes here by blaming pioneer, you should have spent 10 minutes by training without using the sync....

If your whole point of djing is to press sync and feel cool because you are THE DJ, then yeah - go on and return your controler - there is no "upgrade" for you to make you a better/real dj...

You can't be serious. Maybe try out Spotify and autoplay? That way - you won't have to do anything, at all!

Well lets see. The first record I ever bought is called 93 Till Infinity By Souls Of Mischief. I learned how to mix and scratch on 2 Fisher turntables that did not have a pitch adjust slider. 1996 I upgraded to 2 Technics 1200's with an MTX MX 600 mixer the one with the sampler and stutter buttons. I worked at WP records in the Harbor area of Los Angeles and I saw how Serato and Traktor killed the vinyl industry.

Around 07 my turntables were stolen so I began to focus on making beats. Around 2012 I really wanted to start mixing again but I couldn't afford two 1200's so I reluctantly went digital. I bought an SCS 3 DJ system from Stanton. It was okay but I was a turntablist and I missed scratching. I bought the SCS 4 DJ when it came out and I was blown away by how all the easy shit was automatically handled for me. I didnt have to ride the pitch and I didnt have to worry about controlling the volume because the Stanton did all of that for me. I learned how to scratch on those little platters and I became a fan of digital DJ technologies.

You 2 act like you havr something to prove. What's the point of technology of your still doing shit the old way?

You act like you mix by ear...all you have to do is look at the BPM counter and match it manually. Thats not mixing by ear but who cares. Ive been there, done that. I know what digital DJ technology is supposed to do for me. Its supposed to free up extra time to get creative instead if waste time riding the pitch.

I get it. You probably think I'm some youngster that learned on controllers. Nah bruv. I'm a Turntablist turned Controllerist. Get over it.

Stanton quick grid is still a lot better than having to manually adjust all my break beats. Its a huge waste of time having to manually fix all my tunes because RekordBox has a hard time analyzing breaks.

Stanton is pretty much out the game but they won several awards for that stand alone unit. The best part was no need for a laptop.

I was more into the XDJ RX but I really wanted the 4 channel mixer. Now that I learned how to run the RZ I'm ready to battle you sucka add DJ's. BOOM

but yeah - maybe good time to stop caring about the sync etc. and enjoy again the aspects of djing you obviously enjoyed for years....-still worth it... The reason for acting so overreactive is seeing all the guys pressing sync and acting like a stars got really boring during last years. Most of them came to the forum, blaming pioneer for the shitty grids because without them, they can't simply mix at all and be cool.. You must understand that for people who really love the djing and taking it as an art of its kind requiring lots of sleepless nights of training, its really sad... 

anyway - still insist that for the same genre, the RB does a great job (and nope, I am not a Pioneer fanboy :-D )

Maybe if you got some vinyl rips or old jungle where the tempo is not steady, it might have hard time creating a good grid. For most of the modern tracks where the tempo is stiff, it works more than fine.

The fact that stantons sync a track with its 1/2 tempo twin sounds more like a bug than like a clever job of the stanton programers :)

Nah...more like redundant unnecessary waste of time. Modern technology is dope! You feel like it makes us lazy but I feel like it just makes it more fun. I mean come on cue points and hot cues? No one is timing the double drop anymore. Its the machine helping out.

By the way I'm really liking my DDJ RZ now its pretty dope and the platters and crossfader are smooth as butter.

I'm over the limiter and I dont mind adjusting the volume but the analyzing capabilities still need some improvement. I just downloaded 140 DNB WAV's and I had to manually adjust almost half of them. That's not cool...
