Pioneer PLX-500 Recording No Sound

I just bought the PLX-500 to rip my vinyl into Rekordbox...i`ve connected the PLX-500 to my macbook pro using the USB cable...but when i start recording i can`t hear whats being recorded.

The recording is definitely being recorded as the level meter is moving fine. Also when the recording is finished i can play it back & hear it fine.

But while its recording i can`t hear anything,is there any way to sort this?

I`ve been in the sound preferences & selected USB codec as the input but still can`t hear what`s being recorded.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I never got it sorted mate...never got a reply. So what I’ve had to do was connect the deck to my DDJ-RX controller & record into rekordbox that way. It’s a pain in the ass that I couldn’t use usb cable as that was why I bought it in the first place. But on the plus side because vinyl records all sound different I can adjust the sound by using gain control & bass, mid & treble to get my vinyl sounding great. Not sure it’d be the same using just usb cable ax there’s no way for you to adjust the sound that way. All the vinyl I’ve ripped so far has been spot on. Only bugbear is that rekordbox analysing tune is shit & you have to manually adjust the beat grid to get it spot on which isn’t an easy thing to do & is time consuming as fuck.
