weird. i use Mixed in Key too. and it stores the A1 - B12 nicely in the place where it should.. As a backup i let mixed in key also store the code and energy level in the comment area.
To who it may concern!
1st.
Regarding the XDJ RX, that machine is in no way aimed for the mobile nor a dj with a large library as the search-function is thought up by someone clearly not working as a dj.
Why cant you just input a repeat-function on the backspace. so when you press the scroll-button for say 2sek the whole string gets deleted. If you search using the scroll-button. You sometimes almost end up with a finished track. Especially if you play radioversions. Im at several venues that have bought this setup. And its a NIGHTMARE. And no they are not going to change anytime soon. Now try this with a library of 30 000 tracks!
2nd. This goes for both RX - RX2 as well as Nexus 2
Why should i keep my gear when you (Pioneer) clearly don’t care about us working mobile or ”simple” club djs. Not even if i pay good money for a third-party software like mixed in key i get what i need or want. Cause I don’t appreciate your ”Traffic-light system. I want and have bought MIK 4,5,7 for a reason.
Just get RBX V to work with it so i can use whatever i need. I want to be able to search in Key. Cause when i use RBX V, i have all my KEY info as i want. But when i got to the club this weekend. NX2 and RX just show Traditional keys.
I have turned everything upside down, both the players and RBX V and i cant find anything to remedy this.
And please don’t say that i should learn to read notes and keys, cause i used to play several instruments, but got to Camelot on an early stage. And, well i like it.
Ok, let me give you something to think about. I have two colleagues that now have ditched their brand NX2 setups in favor for the SC 5000 because of several things. Ive shelled out over 10 000 $ on Pioneer gear, 2 CDJ NXS 2, DJM 900 NX2, DJM 800, DJM 909, CDJ 2K, RMX 1000, SP1. And i was thinking in buying the brand new RX2 and SDJ 1000. But i feel its not worth it right now.
Can you please make this work, cause i don’t expect either RBX V or the CDJ NXS 2 to analyze Camelot, just get me the feature so i can turn on or off traffic-light to read and display the key and to have it show up in the lists. Like it does in RBX V
Cause heres the kicker. SC 5000 both reads Engine Prime as well as RBX V. And the player analyze both traditional key as well as Camelot. It just works.
Im between a rock and a hard place right now, and i don’t want to dump my setups just to get simple features that should have been there from the getgo.
I can use my 2K, and they get my Camelot 1A - 12A Key in the ”key” window just fine. But not on the new RX / NXS / 2 machines.
As of now i cant work as per design or am i used to, and i wont lug around my own gear just to get it to work. I shouldn’t have to on a venue that have both RX and NXS / NXS 2 of their own.And i sure h3ll wont bring a computer when i use SSD and SD cards.
Can you please take a look at RBX V and these features. Cause i don’t feel comfortable with notion that my 2K vanilla works fine and my 7000$ NX2 don’t
Cheers!
A pretty wound up and frustrated DJ!
