XDJ XZ corrupt device library ssd when it's definitely not!!!

A small club I play at has a xdj xz. Every time I plug in my 1tb ssd after a bit of time it says device library is corrupt. Once this is happened you cannot plug in another usb. after removing the SSD, Both usb stop lights flash for 15 mins then you can use a usb. (But not the SSD, same thing happens) You can however you a computer with rekordbox DJ connected, although all the screens on the controller are frozen , but audio works fine. Now I regularly use cdj3000/cdj/2000nx2/xdj-rx2 with the exact same SSD and have no problems at all. So this must be a XZ specific bug, and I can work around it by using just Usbs but that's not the point is it. Anyone have any idea what's going on? (Firmware is latest btw)

It's more likely that the device is entering a fault state due to the amount of power being drawn exceeding the available power. What is the make / model of the USB drive with which you have problems?

Which generation product? Can you provide a model number from the back of the drive?

Simon,

It looks like that's the USB3.1 version of the drive, we are aware of some USB3.1 drives having communication issues with some products. Please try using a 3.0 or 3.2 gen device and see if this persists.

Pioneer DJ does not guarantee 100% compatibility with any USB drive. Functionality of one drive does not guarantee functionality of another identical make / model drive. Manufacturers are known to change the memory controller chip per availability or cost, and as a result, there is always a chance that a drive may not be compatible with the player host chipset. Recommendations or the results of another user may not be the same for you and your drive.

Thanks for your understanding.
