XDJ-RR - SSD instead of USB stick

Love my RR been running without issue for years.  I was wondering what people's experience is with running an SSD instead of a USB stick for your music library. Reading up it seems the USB sockets on the RR are good for 1A of power which is 5W.  Most SSD's fall within this rating so all good there I think.  The performance is really good when I've tried it - nice and snappy to use which is great.  My question is really is there any good reason not to use an SSD that I'm not aware of ?? Opinions very welcome.
