Yes it will replace your NI soundcard. I use my djm900 with traktor scratch pro 2 and ableton. Both use the djm900 soundcard.

Pioneer DJM 900 Nexus and Traktor Scratch Pro 2 Features (Connection and Set up)
Hello Pioneer Team & Users,
i was wondering if this set up would work, since the Zomo MC 1000 and Pioneer DJM 900 Nexus both have a build in Soundcard and if i have bought the Pioneer DJM 900 Nexus, would it replace the Traktor Soundcard (Audio 4,6, or 10) and i can use all features in Traktor? e.g. Sample Deck, Loop Recorder, Recording the Mix, Live Stream etc?

if you have Traktor Scratch 2, all you need to do is start Traktor 2 up, in the options select the DJM900 as the soundcard and map out the input/outputs and your all set to go. This is what I am running with traktor scratch 2.

The DJM900NXS comes iwth a USB cable. So you will be ready out of the box to use both products together. Hell you can even even go to traktorfreaks.com and download the midi map I made for the DJM900 and use it solely as a Traktor controller.
