djm-900 auto bpm not accurate like djm-800??

I have the djm-900 for 3 weeks now and found that the auto bpm is not as accurate

like my older djm-800...

Is this possible?

Regards,

Michel

I got the djm 900 linked via the ethernet link. BUT i'm using 2 dvj 1000 next to them, so the bpm problem is still a big problem!

It's really not that big an issue -- yes it may be an inconvenience for you but given the number of DJM900 owners and only two complaining...

@foster - thats fine and i wish pio had given me that answer months ago. Why would u never see it receiving midi clock out of curiousity?

No, not using it to control traktor.. I just want a stable bpm to run effects, etc on djm. I do run some traktor effects, etc but use an x1 for that.

Ive tried a ton of workarounds but no luck.. It all rests on djm900 bpm counter staying stable it seems. Michels not crazy.. Check out the 2 vids i referred to. Is that normal? My djm700 didnt do that..

That said its a major issue imo as it makes syncing to traktor impossible if auto bpm doesnt hold constant thus rendering djm900 midi clock unuseable. From what im hearing, i have a faulty mixer as it seems like autobpm should work properly.

@Michel > The engineers have asked for you to provide a specific list of songs where you can replicate the issue; they will try and obtain them online to test on their end.

@Kevin > Same for you, please!

The one i remember off top of my head is adele - someone like you (esquire mix) which shows the issue to the extreme around the 1:45 mark.

But its pretty much most tracks. If u need more examples, let me know and ill provide more later today

Well its a big issue for me, since I pay 1800euro for it!

If pioneer says that this mixer will auto detect like a 800, it soposed to work. Am I right?

Okay Tracks that run the bpm counter al over the place:

All hiphop, all house/club etc etc. like I say before all kind of music and all night long the same problem.

Sometimes the bpm is okay, but then it will go from 130 to 170 and back to blinking.

Mark Ronson Nate Dogg - Ooh Wee

50 cent ft Justin - Ayo Technology

Afrojack - No Beef

Major Lazer ft TOK - Thing

Bart B More - Listen to This

Here's 2 more that show the problem easily:

  • Sujo (Bart B More Balkan Mix)

  • Bart B More - Brap

@Pulse - is there a track that pioneer suggests us testing that they know should produce 'normal' steady bpm output?  I can try that track out.

FYI: The engineers are working on improving the BPM readout.  We will post any updates we receive however it may not be to this thread.
