DJM-2000 Another Anomaly Found

Reporting another anomaly found!

There is a significant volume change between CD/DIGITAL and LINE settings in DJM-2000.  From what I could discern, there is no difference in fidelity when selecting either setting except that the LINE is giving out twice the output of the CD/DIGITAL.

I believe this issue is more serious than the Inst FX volume or Midi Remix Section volume etc. that were reported before.   We can avoid ruining our speakers by not using the mentioned features BUT THIS.  WITH A FLIP OF A LEVER, YOU ARE DONE!

I wish we already have a fix to this dilemma!

Pioneer, we are waiting . . . . .

No disrespect but this is another one of those things that if its detrimental, then don't do it. But IF you have to, thats what the gains are for. like playing an old battered vinyl to a top quality high amped up cd recording, you have to level it out. do you really switch during play?

None taken.

This anomaly is present ALL the time.  You won't even have a chance to adjust the Gain to bring the volume down to prevent your speakers from blowing up when you accidentally flip the lever.

Here's the setup:

  1. Connect your CDJ-2000 out to the in's of your DJM-2000.  RCA to RCA (Line input in your DJM).

2. Connect the Digital output and input as well.

  1. Set your channel volume at a lower setting (to prevent blowing-up your speaker for this test).

  2. Set the Master Volume to a lower setting as well.

5.  Make sure that the selector in the DJM-2000 is set to CD/DIGITAL.

  1. Bring up Rekordbox and using PRO Link, drop a track to play in the CDJ.

  2. While your music is playing, flip the lever to LINE.

Post what you find . . . .

By the way, both DJM and CDJ have the latest firmware update.

I'm sorry, but I must be missing something here...

Why connect, both Line AND Digital?

This isn't something ANY DJ would (should) do while the channel is live, regardless of the reason.

Non-issue; thread closed.
