DJM2000 Firmware update next century

YET another 900 fw update and so it's another slap in the face by Pioneer for the 2000 owners.

NOT IMPRESSED PIONEER.

@ Musichaos ,   you better just wait instead of posting something like this...

We have been told that there will be a firmware update with NEW features.... what do you want more?

They could release an update where only the "high volume" would change.  Would you be happy then ?

The update will get here SOON ;)

How is it another slap in the face? We've told you that v3.0 firmware is practically ready and it'll be available extremely soon (it is a major update). Meanwhile, Pioneer do a minor update to the 900.

This crying is crazy... I´m verry happy, that Pioneer will major update 3 year old mixer. True is, that minor update should be out one year ago, but better major update today, than minor year ago.

And it isn´t so important, if new FW come today, or 14days later. I hope Pioneer will make official anouncement about FW future of CDJ 2000 like with DJM 2k. Terms of update is not important, just good to know, if there will be some update with new function or if CDJ 2k is product without future. Thank you Pioneer!

I highly doubt we'll see any upgrades to the mk1 cdj 2000,  they're still supporting it, meaning they're still working on fixing bugs, but i don't see any upgrades in the future. They'll never sell new products if they keep upgrading old equipment.  I'm thinking we're getting upgrades on the djm2000, because of the long wait we had on an update, and maybe it was easier to just make the new firmware of the nexus be compatible with the mk1, Instead of working on a fix for the mk1 as well.  Then I think they'll stop upgrading it,  they'll just support working on bugs.

Just need to be patient for a little while longer man, and if it drops before 25th Dec that would please all of us without a doubt , then the djm2k will be upgraded to a Flagship 2k Nexus which in my mind is a good deal from Pioneer ,I would also love to see the 'slip mode'  on the cdj2000's that would be sweet but I don't know if that would be possible, but for now let's get the whole system bug fixed and rockin  , from rekord box ,the players and the mixer all on song , that's what will raise the game for Pioneer in my eyes, a fully functioning 2000 series rig without bugs, Bring  the noise !!

NEW UPDATE FROM PIONEER!!!

Unfortunately the DJM-2000 firmware update has been delayed to end of December, but on the plus side we were able to add more features to it:
  • It allows certain functions of the DJM-2000nexus to be used with the DJM-2000.
  • New SIDECHAIN REMIX functions with enhanced performance capability for DJM-2000nexus will become available on DJM-2000: BEAT SLICE REMIX, SYNC MASTER, PEAK LIMITER, SIDECHAIN REMIX manual effects

Awwwwwwww jeahhhhhhh we also get the peak limiter!!!!!

Thanks pioneer!! Great job!! You have my support ;)

Great job ????

The update hasn't even been released yet.  Wait for January 1 and check if the update fixes the KNOWN bugs and then some.  Then, you can do your song and dance.

It maybe that Pioneer will delay this again come Dec 31.  Who knows.

Yes, great job!!!!!!!!!!!

We get a lot of new features on our 3 year old mixer....

Do they have to add those features ???

And I don't care about a delay... as if my mixer isn't working for the moment ;)

All of this is just marketing.

The new firmware is already up and running perfectly with the new DJM-2000 Nexus is already on the market and with Firmware 3.0.

Probably small change would be needed to work with the DJM-2000 MK1. These changes might not take long with the team of engineers that Pioneer has.

The wait for the release of this new firmware for the DJM-2000 MK1 is that sales of the new mixer are high, otherwise the Pioneer will not release this new update soon.

It's really great from Pioneer doing the major update on the DJM 2000 MK1

btw @ TheOne:

What does the Peak limiter do and how can this be set on the new Firmware / Nexus?

Thanks

@ eLem3ntx :

A newly designed Peak Limiter eliminates distortion and clipping, even at high volumes.

Hope this helps :)

Wow that sounds really good :) Thanks "TheOne"

I know this is not the right thread but nevertheless i will ask you guys what is meant by "

SIDECHAIN REMIX manual effects"?

Can we use the XY Pad as a Drum Pad like on the RMX 1000? What's the difference in opposite to the old version beside the Names given to the Oscilattors?

Thank you :)

Why should I be so easily placated.

Pioneer has taken long enough...

Wow seriously at the people saying "stop crying, you should be happy they are updating old products".....SERIOUSLY.... did your mommy and daddy buy your DJM-2000? I spent nearly 2500 dollars on what was supposed to be a flagship mixer for the next 5-6 years.... not 3. Yeah it is absolute ludicrous the lack of care that's gone into owners of the mk1 2000 gear and honestly it is such an obvious cover up by Pioneer with the whole firmware update essentially giving us the same features as the DJM-2000nexus aside from red colored knobs -honestly I am comfortable on my DJM2000, it is a great mixer -but honestly pioneer, you are making a hard case for me to really believe that your company produces the best DJ equipment, could sell my now second rate (to the 2000nexus mixer) mixer and buy a DB:2..........pioneer'd

seriously review your checkbooks from 2 years ago and then look at your comments... I spend nearly 6 thousand dollars on dj equipment and I shouldn't hold any sort of negative opinion towards pioneer's actions in the past year, get real and stop pretending to be a super chill passive consumer, makes me absolutely sick.
