[CLOSED] DJM 900 Nexus channel 2 crash/shut down

Hi, Happy New Year first of all. 

I've had this problem once before on this same channel, it stopped playing audio basically and wouldnt work again without restarting the mixer. Being the time of year it was I couldn't afford to be without it and have had to continue gigging with it until now, where i'm taking some time off in the new year.. Was doing a massive new year party in a huge house out in the country when about 3ish hours into the gig the music stopped and instantly this loud kinda zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz sound started blaring from my P.A. I've heard something like it before when my old windows laptop crashed whilst playing audio and made what sounds like the exact same noise as the blue screen of death would appear. I quickly turned the master volume knob down and hit pause on my playing cdj and also on my other 1 which was rolling a cued loop but fader was down, the noise continued, even when I turned the master right down it still came through my headphones (as channel 2's cue was running through them at the time). In my panic and embarrassment I never even thought to muck about with it and see what was wrong, I just flicked the power button off for a few seconds then put it back on again. It crashed again about 40 mins later but this time the music just stopped playing (same as the first ever time it did it previously), even though the cdj was still playing the track. This time thou i quickly faded in the track I had cued on channel 1 and moved the phono cables into channel 3, after that it ran fine for the remaining few hours.

The guy that owned the house was less than impressed with this "pair of major fuk up's" as he called it, and this reflected in my money for the night. I know this is my own fault for not having a spare mixer that I can use if something is up with the 900 but in all honesty I blew all my spare cash and had sold my old stuff just to get this new setup...

I'm running a pair of CDJ2000 nexus and the 900, no laptop, my music is on usb drives and the files are all good, these are all running through a 100mbps network switch. I'm expecting Gavin to come in on this with an "I told you so".. I updated the firmware on the 900 when the update came out and the same with the 2000's when the big update was released a few weeks ago.

Anyone else experienced issues like this?? I'm going off this to google my nearest pioneer service centre in Glasgow!!

@John > I told you so. But seriously, what am I telling you? Did you get this fixed? Has the issue occurred since?

I just had the same issue with channel 1 in a packed nightclub, just running Ableton into a line input. Turning it off and on seems to have sorted it, hopefully it will make it the last 1 1/2 hours....

@James > If it was a one-off when connected to the computer, there's a possibility it was a software issue. If it happens again please let us know.
