DJM 250 PROBLEM!!

Hi,

my DJM 250 mixer has suddenly acquired a really annoying problem! When playing it will suddenly, out of the blue just cut out. The mixer is still on, as the orange filter lights stay lit. However the sound coming from the speakers and headphones stop, as does the level indicators. I have no idea why it has started doing this, can anyone please help?

My set up is with Serato SL2 and two Technics SL1210 MK2. The mixer is only about 3/4 months old.

Thanks,

James.

Hey James, I've encountered the same issue, The problem stems from the power source.

The adapter that plugs into the back of the mixer jiggles from vibration and loud noises and causes the mixer to temporarily lose power, a quick flip of the phono line switch should turn the sound back on, but in order to stop the problem you'll have to tighten up where the power adapter connects to the mixer or send it to a technician who can. It's a fairly easy fix, and a major downfall of an otherwise fantastic little mixer.

I encountered the same issue last weekend, despite using the attached cable clamp. A connection on a piece of music that can't tolerate vibration is an own goal. Has Pioneer released a fix?

There is no fix for a problem that is not widespread.  Please ensure that your power connecter stays firmly connected.  If you have subsequent problems with the unit, please contact technical support for your country via the links on the right.  >>>>

I've had this problem with the mixer right out of the box. Just a simple move of the connector, the mixer jumps intro protection mode, or whatever that is.

@Roger > Probably a fault within the mixer - please return it to your retailer for an exchange.
