Just want to let perspective buyers aware; I just received my Brand New HDJ 2000K headphones and was a bit dissapointed about the actual color. I've always wanted a** Black** pair of Pioneers HDJ 2000's to go with my set-up. I loved the comfort, style, sound, and quality of my original HDJ 2000's, so I was extremely EXCITED when I heard that PIONEER came out with a** 'BLACK'** pair of HDJ 2000's. However, the HDJ 2000 K's are more of a dark grey versus** 'Black'. Infact the only Black part of the headphone is the band of the headphone, (just like the original HDJ). Needless to say, despite the expected incredible quality and sound, I will be returning this pair of HDJ 2000 K's*. Keep in mind, I'm only disappointed about the actual description of *'Black', other than that, if I could deal with the dark grey** color scheme, I would be very excited.

Its a bit of a limitation in the production process when adding certain colours to certain materials. One man's dark grey is another man's black.
Although we could even argue that there is no such colour as 'black'.
I believe they are marketed as "black chrome" and the photos show that it's not a flat-black.
