Hi everybody, I baught a HDJ - 2000 today, it's almost new, ot's about 6h of use. The clarity is so poor, the sound very deep with my Smartphone (HTC One X) .Before I had a Sony MDR-XB700, and there's so much clarity with the same adjusments. Should I need running in again the headphone ?

The headphones has been directly buy to a store, not online. Thei website if you want to verify [EDIT] . IHave the invoice with a warranty of 1 year. I test the headphones with my Cowon J3 and sound is better than with my Smartphone
@Thomas > Smartphone output isn't always optimal but it should still sound ok. What are the EQ settings you have chosen? What type of audio files have you on your phone? Where did you get them from?
My Phone is cracked, and the MOD sound is awesome, but the equalizer isn't very good with the HDJ. So now I listen music with my mp4 Cowon which is the best sound ever made on mp4. My sound are from Livingelectro and others, and in mp3 320 kbps or standard Wav. The only thing I don't realy like, is the lake of clarity in medium I think
You're probably running the Beats crap....
Beats (and their EQ have alot of bass and drown out the rest of the sound).
Which comes down you might have a wrong root on your phone which enables the Beats EQ though there aren't Beats connected.

@Thomas > Can you customise the EQ settings? Have you tried?
Yes I can, I've tried the sound starting to be better and better with my MP4, I've tested with my smartphone, and the sound is a bit better
@Thomas > Ok, good stuff.
