HDJ-2000 Clicking in left ear

Had my HDJ-2000K for a couple of days now and must say the quality of them is phenomenal compared to all my previous headphones!

Unfortunately there is a ever so slight clicking noise in the left ear (noticed it a couple of times in the right too), I think the best way to explain the sound is that it's a spring clicking. This can only can be heard when the volume is quiet/off. This also happens when the cable is unplugged.

In terms of when the noise happens I am unable to find the cause, there seems to be no particular movement to cause the click. I have tried carefully twisting all the parts slightly while on my head and nothing seems to cause the sound. It seems completely random!

Sorry for what sounds like such a terrible explanation. Is this normal? I haven't been able to find anyone with a similar issue while searching google, so figured I'd ask here :)

Thanks

Nick

Could be one possibility but when the lead is detached and given that the headphones seem fairly well insulated how would that be forming?

You're wearing wooly socks?

If it's not a mechanical "clicking" then I'd say it has to be something like static, but I can't be sure. You can always contact Pioneer's technical support for further assistance, their contact info is located to the right of this page.

Unfortunately I don't own wooly socks :)

Tested wearing an anti static wrist band which I use for computer maintenance, can confirm the problem still exists.
