After reading the instuction i see you cannot do more than 4 beats. which i think is very poor, you should be able to change this within the software.

sampler on rmx 1000
How do you change the length of time on the sampler (overdub). as i can only make it play 1 bar. Also can you have a loop going on say bank 1 then go to bank 2 without it stopping the loop on bank 1?

The limitation is 4 beats, but there are ways around it by messing with the tempo (by half), but that requires also changing the sample playback speed. The intention of the sampler was for drums more than loops, certainly not loops longer than 4 beats.
There is no way to have it continue playing a sample from Bank 1 when it switches to Bank 2 because the bank memory is overwritten when the samples are loaded.

Although, you could put a sample into a feedback loop then switch banks...!
